Invest in your local food system and the people who make it happen
To better provide you with fresh, local and organic food, all year long, your purchase will:
- Help us purchase more tools to increase yields and maintain high quality crops
- Keep your farmers in good repair! By investing in tools and timely maintenance, we can keep our bodies from bearing the brunt of the work we do. C&P sales greatly reduce our stress load. Winter is financially the hardest time of year. Your purchase gives us the boost we need to keep going when sales are at their lowest.
-
Offset the cost of:
- hiring help
- pest controls (netting, t-posts, hoops, agricultural cloth, etc)
- feeding the soil with cover crops and organic amendments
More Details
- Canners and Planners special offers usually start in May or June
- We'll post about the exclusive C&P items, prices and deadlines to order right on this page. If we sell out of something, we'll update the page so make sure to look for updates before placing an order.
- The last C&P offers will be posted in December
- You can use Sunbacks any time of year for any veggie/fruit purchase from our list, our online store or at our farmstand.
- If you run out of Sunbacks, you'll still be on the C&P list so no need to buy more but you certainly can if you want to.
- Paper Sunbacks come in $5 increments. Since they are not redeemable for cash, we cannot give you change. We encourage you to ask us to round up one of your order items so that you get your money's worth or you can simply add cash to your payment. For example, if you order peas $4, carrots $3 and onions $2; your order total would be $9 and if you're paying in Sunbacks you'd ask us to round up with extra peas (or carrots or onions) to make it $10. OR you could pay with $5 in Sunbacks and $4 in cash for a total of $9. It's completely up to you!
- Newer option: electronic Sunbacks! Instead of paper currency, we can issue you an electronic giftcard that can be used on our online store, Philomath Farmers Market and Farm Stand
-
Paper Sunbacks can be used to pay for our produce online by selecting the payment method that says "Pay at pick-up or Delivery" as pictured below
Canners and Planners comes with a bulk buying option! Do you freeze, ferment, dehydrate, can or otherwise put food by for the winter? It's one of the oldest food traditions that captures the abundance of warmer weather and longer days. People used to store food as a way of life and as a matter of survival during the more lean times of year. For us, it's a way to enjoy our favorite flavors at times when we can't grow green beans, tomatoes, plums, etc.
